IsaDora Silver Sky Gradient

So Easter is almost upon us and I don't know about you but where I am the weather just doesn't reflect that at all! Anyway, I did this mani a little while ago and even though I'm still wearing winter shades I thought I'd post something to lift our spirits a bit.

So this is a mani with a base of IsaDora Silver Sky with a gradient of Color Club Jingle Jangle from the gorgeous Mistletoe collection and a hint of Girly Bits Hippity Hop for good measure. This mani was so sparkly, I just adore it!

In case you haven't come across IsaDora as a brand they are a Swedish make up brand that do some awesome polishes. I first came cross them when looking at Coewless Nail blog which you can see here.  This girl is awesome and literally made me want every IsaDora, luckily I have a polish friend in Sweden so she has done a few little hauls for me. You can find them on the web if you look hard enough, Amazon UK has them and I have seen them in Ireland but beware they are a tiny 6ml bottle so they end up being quite pricey (on Amazon the price is £7.95 each).

Personally I think if you love a colour then it is worth it. I got a back up of Silver Sky when it was discontinued a few months ago but I'm sure there will be some kicking around somewhere to be had.

OPI Tomorrow Never Dies and OPI Goldeneye Gradient

First off, I love the OPI Bond collection (with the exception of Moonraker and The Living Daylights). I really think it is an awesome collection and every polish is just beautiful.

I have been so excited to wear Goldeneye and I mostly wanted to use it first to do a gradient. I chose 2 coats of OPI Tomorrow Never Dies as a base and then sponged Goldeneye on the tips. Easy and effective I'd say.

Goldeneye was really easy to sponge on and it's completely unique in my collection, I've even bought a back up!! If you haven't got one you need to grab one while you still can as these won't be around for long.

I wore this mani for several days and just didn't want to take it off. Hope you enjoy!

Honeymoon Holo Gradient

I'm sorry I've been MIA for the last week. Time has just passed me by and I don't really know what happened!

You know, before our wedding and while I was away on honeymoon I kind of stopped looking at all my facebook groups and polish because I was just a bit overwhelmed with everything anf I needed to concentrate and keep my head clear, but now I'm back and so is the obsession. I am just so loving it all right now I can't tell you! Have you ever woken up in the night to check your phone for new posts?? Nuts eh?!

Anyway, I broke a nail on Tuesday, badly, so it's nubs for me, which I hate. They don't even look like my fingers, so while I'm sulking I thought I'd finally get around to posting some of my honeymoon mani's. This one I did using Kiko 399 Silk Taupe as a base and then sponged Up Colors Multi Magenta and Kiko 401 Peacock Green. I just used a sponge over the Kiko 399 base and I I really liked the results.

As in the UK we are starved of sunshine right now I thought I'd leave this one largely uncropped. Look how beautiful it is. We went to Mauritius and stayed in the Oberoi, all I can say is WOW - they are an Indian hotel chain and if you ever get the chance to stay in one then do.

Anyway, hope you likey!

Summer Sunset Gradient

Well, I've been a busy girl this week. I finaly realised that I have too many polishes! In fact I have way too many polishes....

Well over 700 to be precise. I don't state an exact number because anyone looking at this post will know that numbers of polishes is a fluid thing. I have some on the way and some I have taken out of my stash to swap or sell. So what is a girl to do? Well I've decided to have my first ever blog sale. It's actually quite a lot of work setting all this up but I thought August is a good quiet month for me to do it in, so take a look if you like.

Now, August is also the height of summer (yes, even in the UK apparently), so I though before the opportunity passes I better use some of those polishes I won't be using later in the year. I've also wanted to try a gradient for ages too.

I did this mani using this tutorial from Makeup Withdrawl which you can find here, however I found that the sponge made the polish very texturised on the nail, so half way though I decided to try the sponge a bit damp - this worked much better. This mani isn't perfect but it was my first try and whilst looking for the tutorial above I found a great one from The Beauty Department which I will use next time. You can see it here.
