Enchanted Polish TenderHeart

I'm sorry I've been quiet this week, it's been one of those weeks when there just hasn't been enough hours in the day!

I meant to get this post out yesterday as I'm wearing this as my birthday/valentine's mani and it's going to be my weekend in Dublin mani too. This is the last polish from the Enchanted Polish Love A Lot of Glitter colletion. I was saving this to wear for my Valentine's birthday and I'm so glad I did. It's perfect.

Enchanted Polish TenderHeart is a glitter polish in a clear base with red hearts, silver holo diamonds, tiny red glitters, red hexes and irridescent mylar flakes and bars. I keep saying this but this collection is absolutely stunning!

I wore it over a baby pink creme first but then decided to layer it over a holo which I actually much prefer. For this mani I used 2 coats of Color Club Fashion Addict and one coat of TenderHeart. I don't know why it's taken me so long to try Fashion Addict, it's beautiful.

As I've mentioned before the Love A Lot of Glitter collection is a bit thicker than normal polishes, it's still easy to work with but this gives it the advantage that you can get lots of glitter on the nail in one go, I really like it.

I topped off this mani with a layer of Gelous and a layer of HK Girl.

A belated happy Valentine's to you all, I had an awesome birthday and got some things which will really help my blogging so I'll let you in on that next week, I'm excited. In the meantime enjoy this beauty:

Enchanted Polish Freeze Machine

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are all having a good weekend.

As you know I hate Sunday nights, urgh, it's just like waiting for work to start the next day, I've had a pretty quiet weekend as my poor hubby has been ill so I've been sorting out my polish which has been fun. I'm getting something really cool later in the week for my birthday which will help with my blogging and I can't wait to share it with you.

Anyway, as you may remember I got the new Love A Lot of Glitter collection from the Enchanted New Years day restock and I've been slowly working through them. I really wanted to savour wearing them rather than just swatching them as they are so beautiful. I'm saving the last one (Tenderheart) for Thursday so make sure you check back for that then.

This weekend I wore Enchanted Polish Freeze Machine. I have to tell you this polish made my camera freak out, it was really hard to capture as it is just so sparkly.

I would describe Freeze Machine as a tiny round dark and light blue glitters, gold holo hexes, glowing blue squares and hexes, pink mylar flakes and general shimmer suspended in a clear base. I can't get any more accurate that that, it's just amazing and I don't know what else to say but this polish just glows!

For this mani I used 2 coats of A-England Avalon and one coat of Enchanted Polish Freeze Machine. I wanted something bright for the base as this is just such a fun polish  As I've said with the others from this collection, the base is quite thick which works out well because you get a really good coverage of glitter in just one coat. It applied like a dream.

I used 2 coats of HK Girl as a topcoat but the mylar flakes tend to dent the finish a little so ideally I would have used 3 coats or a coat of Gelous to make it absolutely smooth.

I tried this over a dark purple too and it was stunniNg. Next time I'm trying it over something light. I think this polish is one that will go over anything and everything!

Femme Fatale Stolen Reindeer

Happy Friday everyone!

Today I have a polish that I wore around Christmas and haven't got around to posting yet. I was lucky enough to do an awesome swap with one of my lovely Australian friends and I got my first Femme Fatales. This one is Stolen Reindeer, I needed it just for the name alone!

Femme Fatale is described as a fun mix of copper, brown and burgundy with bold red hexes reminiscent of that red nosed reindeer, all in a sheer burgundy base.

For this mani I used a base of 2 coats of OPI Every Month is Octoberfest and 2 coats of Stolen Reindeer. At the time I didn't quite love this mani, there was just something off for me, I don't know, maybe I chose the wrong base, now looking at these pictures I love it!

Next time I think I'm going to try a redder base. If you have any suggestions for undies I'd be grateful.

Look at Rudolf's red nose!

Enchanted Polish Tummy Time

Today I have another gorgeous polish from the Enchanted Polosh Love A Lot of Glitter collection.

Tummy Time is a gorgeous soup of tons of different types of glitter, I couldn't find a description anywhere but I can see gold and red micro glitter, gold bar glitter, irregular shaped black glitter, gold hexes, blue irridescent glitters as well as red hearts and gold stars. I'm sure I'm missing something, there's just too much to look at!

I wanted to choose an undie which would show off all the shimmer but not drown out the glitter so I went with OPI We'll Always Have Paris. This was such a hard combination to photograph, I took a ton of pictures but my camera just freaked out with all the sparkle. This was so much prettier in real life I have to tell you. Next time I think I'll layer it over a light blue.

For this mani I used 2 coats of OPI We'll Always Have Paris and one coat of Enchanted Tummy Time. The formula on Tummy Time was a little thicker than most glitter and that is typical with this collection, they are actually really easy to work with though and because of the thicker formula the glitter coverage is really good. I didn't have to fish out the hearts or the stars, I found that just by tilting the brush back and forth in the bottle I could easily get them on the brush.

You can see my other posts from this collection here and here.

Harlow & Co is being stocked with this collection tomorrow 8th February 12pm and 8pm EST, I would highly advise that you check them out, they are guaranteed to sell out fast.

OPI Can't Let Go - Liquid Sands

I'm sure you've seen these by now but if you've been living under a rock and haven't, or if you are on the fence about them then I thought you might like to see another swatch.

OPI Liquid Sands from the Mariah Carey collection are a unique set of polishes which have a very textured effect to them, a bit like a sand finish. They dry gritty and matte but not in the same way that hungry glitters dry, they have a real sparkle to them which shines out through the matte effect.

Although I hadn't quite made up my mind on the finish I've been really excited to try these and I was lucky enough to get one in a birthday packages this month so straight on it went.

For this mani I used 2 coats of  OPI Can't Let Go, which is the purple Liquid Sand in this collection and no topcoat. The polish dries pretty quick, I actually painted my nails at the train station because I ran out of time on Friday and couldn't go out with bare nails. The effect was stunning. I was worried the Liquid Sands were going to be too rough but they weren't, yes they have texture but they are not the same as a gritty glitter thankfully.

As for removal, I was expecting the worst but thankfully it was absolutely fine. I used my usual glycerine and acetone mix with cotton wool and it came off easily. Not quite as easily as a creme but certainly not as difficult as a glitter. What a pleasant surprise!

I'll certainly be picking up the rest of these and I've also ordered one of the Zoya's to try. I hope I don't fall in love........

After a day I had to add some topcoat to see what difference it would make. I used 3 coats of HK Girl topcoat which made it completely smooth. This really changed the polish a lot and gave it a lot of depth, it's almost like 2 different looks!

Which look do you prefer?

Haul Post Alert - January

OK, so before you take a look at what's been arriving at my door I'm just going to say that these weren't all purchases! Ahem. Some were swaps that I was lucky enough to be able to arrange with some fab ladies in the UK. All the stress this month about UK shipping has had a lot of people worried. I don't know what is going to happen but I do hope that it brings the UK polish scene closer together.

Anyway, this haul is generally typical of my polish tastes, you might just notice that I've gone even more mad with a certain brand, umm, yes it was the same one that had me up at 3.50 am this morning for an insane restock.......

Anyway, here they are. I can't wait to wear all of them. I need more fingers.........

So this was a swap I did with an amazing UK lady. Look at these - straight from the Enchanted vault. I am still kicking myself for not picking up more when they used to sit on Llarowe. I used to look at them, meaning to buy them but never got around to it. Kick.

More Enchanted's. Look at those pretties. I actually had Magical Mystery Tour in the new bottle and my girl was good enough to swap it for the old bottle - all the rest of my Beetles are in the old bottle and I can't bear to have an odd one out. Yes, I'm weird.

Sooo pretty!

This is a mixture of swaps and purchase in one awesome picture. I am so excited by these I don't know which to wear first. Talk about Lemmings KILLED! 230 and Alexandrite in one photo, it should almost be illegal!

This was from the restock on New Years Day. When my order came I realised that I had messed up in my restock panic and got multiples of a few of these but no Freeze Machine (the one on the left). I was able to swap them for the older Enchanted's and pick up Freeze Machine at Mei Mei's. Crisis averted and a mistake that worked out well!

These were from the last restock at Harlow & Co. Boy was I lucky, I was out at a Christmas do with work and was able to snag all these on my phone and check out, even after drinking wine! Don't ask me how, lady luck was clearly on my side.

You might remember my Candeo Orchid post? Well they were good enough to send me a replacement and here it is. Along with a beautiful order of Wingdust.

If you haven't seen the packaging of the Wingdust polishes then you have missed out. They come in the cutest bags with gorgeous tissue paper and a pretty bracelet and candy. It felt like a swap rather than a purchase., I was very impressed. I'll show you when I wear them, they are all so beautiful too!

Gotta have some Hare's and Crow's Toes

This was the Nails Inc TSV from QVC. I got rid of the Feather Effects already as I didn't think I'd wear it again, the Leather and the blue on the right will also probably have the same fate.

I've seen these Glitzology polishes everywhere and needed some. They are really unusual polishes and I got them in a great sale. I'm saving Guardian Angel for either my Mum's birthday or Mothers day but watch out for the other two.

Jindies and quite new to me. I missed out on Electric Grape at the first restock so this was from my second order.  Can't wait to wear these.

I'd been eyeing these for ages, months in fact so I'm happy to finally have them in my stash. Can't wait to show you.

I do wish Jen would keep the bottles and labels the same though. It bothers my OCD! And how can you resist an I Love Nail Polish!

Because I needed Freeze Machine from Mei Mei's I had to get Cirque Fleur Est Belle which is a Mei Mei's exclusive. It's totally pretty. Didn't everyone get at least one A-England this month from the sale??

So, if there's anything you really want to see just let me know.

I'll be posting another haul later this month but this one will be my birthday month haul, it's totally fabulous and I can't wait to show you. Oh, and next month will be epic - I'm going to the USA...... That's all I'm saying.

Hare Swanky Soiree

Happy Sunday everyone! I have been having such a nice and lazy day today. I finally got a table for my lights and light box and set up my new Helmer. It's going to have all my OPI's in it so I just have to sort through them all. I'll be posting pictures of my set up when I get it all organised.

So, over the last week I've been doing the Pure Nail and Cuticle Oil challenge so have only had my nails painted since Friday, I'll be showing you what I chose for the weekend later this week.....

Today I have Hare Swanky Soiree. I wore this a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. I picked this up in a duo with Holiday Hoopla ages ago from a Hare Polish Etsy restock and it's taken me a while to get around to wearing it.

Swanky Soiree is medium grey jelly with a mixture of red hexes and squares in several sizes, gunmetal squares and hexes and silver shimmer. I never know if these colours of polish will suit me but I'm always surprised when they do!

For this mani I used 3 coats of Swanky Soiree and a coat of HK Girl topcoat. It has a really pretty secret shimmer. The formula was slightly thick, as would be expected with a jelly glitter but it was pretty easy to work with.

This polish is currently solf out on Llarowe but I think she's restocking Hare soon so keep your eyes peeled.

I'll be getting up at 4am tonight for the Enchanted Polish restock...... wish me luck!
