Ciate Mini Mani Month - Christmas Eve!

So, it's the last day.... Did they save the best for last??

Well today I opened the door and there waiting for me was Ciate Enchanted Rose, a red glitter. Not unique but very christmassy!

I'm sad it's over but it certainly was fun and I would buy anothetr one for sure next year. Maybe other companies will take the hint!

Ciate Mini Mani Month Day 20, 21, 22 and 23!!

Yes I've fallen behind and am trying to catch up again.... Only one day left now!

So Day 20 was Ciate Magic Carpet which is one of the exclusive shades in the calendar. It is a pretty purple glitter, nothing too unique but pretty nonetheless.

Day 21 was Ciate Fade to Greige 071 which is a pretty dusky purple creme. I like this one, it reminds me of something Nails Inc would come up with, I'm sure they have something very similar.

Day 22 was a good one, it was the last of the Caviar Pearls. This one is called Sundance and is a mixture of blue and yellow beads with some burnt orange and gold hax glitters thrown in. I really like these ones with the glitters, I'm excited to try them on the nail!

And lastly for today, day 23, it was a bright green creme, Ciate Mojito 019. I can't see myself wearing this one but it may come in handy for nail art..... it's only a mini so I'm sure I can find room!

So, tomorrow is the last day. I wonder what is instore and I must remember to take out that little funnel from the top of the calendar for the caviar beads - note to self!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 18

Yesterday I had my 4th Christmas work do and turkey dinner, yes that is 4! But the next one will be cooked by me and will be the best of course! Anyway, I got back late so didn't have time to post.

Yesterday's advent held Ciate Caviar Pearls in Candyshop which are tiny beads in pink, blue and orange.

I'm willing to be there are more than 1156 women painting their nails in our Facebook groups right now!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 17

Finally back to today. Day 17, can you believe this time next week it'll be Christmas Eve??

When I first opened today I thought it was black, but upon closer inspection it's not, it's a navy blue, which I think may even be a jelly. It's called Power Dressing 063. It's a useful colour and I'll probably keep it to go travelling with, if nothing else this calendar has been useful for that. I've loved every day!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 16

So Sunday, day 16 was bright!

Bright yellow! It's even called Big Yellow Taxi 074, it's a bright yellow creme, which I actually have few of. I'm sure I'll end upi using it for nail art or something. We'll see.....

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 15

Day 15 was Saturday, I had an awesome Christmassy weekend and just didn't get to post.....

Day 15 was Headliner 066, a teal creme. It kinda reminds me of OPI Fly but I haven't compared them yet.

Are you helpless till your nail polish dries?? I'm pretty sure I can still fend myself!!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 14

Right, finally caught up!

Today's polish is Ciate Speed Dial 023. This is a bright, pinky coral polish and I haven't tried it but I think it'll be a jelly. Let's hope! These pictures make the polosh look very orange when really it was pink - I guess my poor camera got freaked out!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 13

I have to say, I am absolutely loving this advent calendar and I don't want it to end..... Day 13's polish is Ciate Glass Slipper. This, I believe, is one of the 3 exclusive shades that Ciate put into this calendar. It reminds me of OPI Absolutely Alice but without the gold glitter.

I love the quote of the day to - very good advice!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 12

Sorry to be getting behind with this.... work has been hectic this week, Christmas parties and conferences.... Anyway, here's what I got on day 12:

Ciate Twilight 072, which is a black polish with tons and tons of gold shimmer running through it. I really like this one, it's unusual and I can't wait to wear it!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 11

Caviar Beads!!!!!

This time ones that remind me of bumble bees and make me want to wear Ninja Polish Humble Bee which is still sitting in my untrieds! Today's Caviar Pearls as Ciate call them are a mix of black and gold beads which are very appropriately named bumble bee.

I really like them and will certainly be trying them out!

Tip of the day: Always use a base coat. I always use a coat of OPI Nail Envy Maintenence and then another base coat over the top of that if it's a dark colour. Any tips for a great base coat??

This calendar has really been improving over the last few days, I can't wait to see what is behind the door tomorrow!

 

 

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 10

Sorry to be falling behind on this, I had intended to post the Ciate Mini Mani Month every day but some days life just gets in the way.....

Anyway, Day 10 has to be one of the best days so far of this calendar. I really can't wait to wear this polish, behind door 10 was Ciate Ladylike Luxe 059. I would describe this polish as a gold foil with silver running through it. I can't wait to see if that translates to the nail or not. I think I'm going to try it with my Lynnderella Gingerbread Hearts when it gets here.....

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 9

Today behind door number 9 was Mistress 039, which I would describe as a bright orangy red creme. Quite nice although I'm sure I own something similar and it's probably not a colour I would tend to wear.

What do you think?

I think this polish is a little more red than this picture shows, however my camera obviously didn't like it today!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 8

Sorry, I know this is a day late but I was really busy this weekend with tree shopping and decorating. I so love the holidays and my house is now really Christmassy, I feel like it's really crept up on me this year but finally I'm starting to get ready for it.

So yesterday, this was what was waiting for me behind the door..... Ciate vintage 018. I would say this is a grey creme with a slightly olive tinge.

It's actually probably quite a unique polish in my collection. I don't own a lot of grey polishes as generally I don't think they suit me but I like the tone of this one so I'll have to wear it and see. I'm happy to see a polish I would wear today, I was starting to lose hope!

Day 7 is another boring day. It's a pale pink creme called Cutie Pie.

I probably have a few of this colour in my collection, I have to say, not feeling inspired today Ciate, better be something good tomorrow!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 6

Well sorry for not posting day 6 actually on day 6. I was just busy and actually not very excited by Day 6....

Here it is, Ciate Angel Wings, a white pearl polish:

Am I disappointed? Yes, but I guess they can't all be amazing and in fairness this is unique in my collection as it's a polish I'd never buy. Maybe it'll come in handy one day.......

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 5

So it's Wednesday, hump day, and I'm tired already so this is a quick post.

Today my treat behind the door was Ciate Cabaret 046. It a warm purple creme, I'm sure I can find something to layer over it.

I love these little bottles!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 3

I have to tell you, I am awful waking up and getting out of bed. Really, I'm miserable in the mornings except for when I have polish to wake up to! I'm loving this month but I'm already worried that it'll make January even more depressing......

Oh well, nevermind. Today I got Ciate Halo (089)

It's a white sparkly glitter with pink and blue sparkles. It's definitely a topper and reminds me of glistening snow. I will certainly be wearing this over Christmas sometime, probably over a pretty blue polish.

I already can't wait for tomorrow!

Ciate Mini Mani Month - Day 2!

It was precisely 22 days, 5 hours and 36 minutes to Christmas when I was writing this post! Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?

Well if there's anything that can make me jump out of bed in the morning it polish. I jumped up this morning in anticipation of  my advent calendar, even chocolate hasn't drawn me in the much before..... So what did I get?

Ciate Dangerous Affair 013. It's described as a burgundy creme polish, that looks pretty accurate to me!

Aren't these little bottles just adorable?? And no, I didn't know over 37,500 nail art tutorials exist on YouTube - I need to check some out!

 

 

Ciate Mini Mani Month Advent Calender - Day 1

Happy 1st December!! Let the festivities begin........

Every girl needs an advent calendar right? Well how about a nail polish one? Yes, I'm sure you've seen it, Ciate's Mini Mani month. It has 21 5ml polishes, 4 10g caviar beads and a little funnel.

I have to say it's much more sturdy than I thought it would be and really rather impressive. I got mine from QVC but they are out of stock now and sold out everywhere so your only bet is eBay, I did have a look today and they are selling for about £65 which I think is sadly rather a lot.

Anyway, I'm hoping to update you daily on the polish I get. I hope they are all as good as the first one, it'll be a very cute collection!

The calendar even came in a nice plastic covered box:

 

Here it is inside, I'm sad there isn't one for Christmas day though:

Look!!!!!! It even has a little saying one the inside of the door, although personally I'd have prefered a manicure tip.

Here was day one. It is called Cupcake Queen, it's a bright pink woth a blue shimmer!!
