I love holo's and I love multichromes possibly even, more so what could be better than a polish that combines the two!! Enter Enchanted Polish......
Now I know I must be behind the times, and I do have a lack of knowledge on the indie front, oh and I hate staying up till 2am clicking refresh on Etsy only to find that the polish has jumped out of my cart.... so I'm glad I only found out about these when Llarowe stated stocking them.
On to the polish. It is beautiful. It is part of the Beetles Collection and is described as a multichrome, holographic polish which flashes dark purple to magenta to orange. Well, I'm not sure I saw those colours, more like dark purple, dark blue and a dark magenta. I did see a bit of orange in the bottle but not on my nails, which really doesn't matter as I don't know if I could handle any more!
I couldn't get the multichrome effect and the holo to come out at the same time either but that's because the sunlight brings out the holo but is too strong for the multichrome, anyway it really doesn't matter, it's gorgeous in every light.
Let's let the pictures do the talking:
I ordered Across The Universe in the Llarowe sale last week and I can't wait for it to get here, I think I might need them all!
First off I know I sound like an old lady but I love QVC, if you are in the UK and haven't looked at what they have then you should! They sell great beauty products as well as Nails Inc, Leighton Denny and OPI. Every day they have what they call a 'Todays Special Value' (TSV) which is an item which you can order that day at a special price. The deals they do on polish are excellent so it is worth at least getting the TSV when it is available, especially if it is on auto-delivery!
This past Tuesday I ordered the OPI TSV and it already arrived today. I basically wanted it because it has 3 QVC exclusive shades: From Me To Q, On Air Perso-Nail-ity and Sea You In Hollywood. I'm such an OPI collector, I couldn't pass this up!
So here they are: all swatches are 2 coats without topcoat unless otherwise stated.
From Me To Q:
I thought this was going to be another boring OPI red shade but actually it was kind of rusty and really quite pretty. It would be perfect for fall.

On Air Perso-Nail-ity:
This is a very sheer polish - I used 4 coats and still there is a VNL - when I use it I will layer it for sure. These pictures make it look a bit orange but in real life it was more of a hot pink colour.

You Callin' Me A Lyre? (from the Ballet Collection)
This whole collection is just gorgeous, I don't need to say anything else
With Pirouette My Whistle
Sea You In Hollywood
In real life this was a bit more of a dusty colour - and what a surprise, it is a beautiful foil! I'd say the kit was worth it for this colour alone.

The set came in a nice gift box too. Here's what you get (and a 60ml non-acetone remover):
Do you think any of these are dupes of other colours??
Following on from my amazing swap post yesterday I just had to post these pictures for you to see. I wore this polish a few weeks ago before I moved house, and then promptly badly broke my middle nail while moving something out from under the bed :-( Anyway, it's growing back now and I had already taken these pictures thankfully.
So on to the polish. The HITS Mari Moon polishes are absolutely stunning multi-chrome polishes. Unconventional seems to shift from a plum purple to a glittery berry red. I absolutely adored wearing this one and will definitely be wearing it again. This is what I would describe as one classy polish!
This was 3 coats.
Can you even believe this is the same polish??
The only drawback is that the bottles are TINY at only 6ml each. I think I'm going to need a back up...... of all of them!!
If you don't have an amazing Brazilian swap buddy you can pick these up from LLarowe and from Ninja Polish.
Warning: this post is going to make you very jealous!!
These beauties arrived about a month ago from my lovely polish swap friend Tami in Brazil. I moved house a couple of days later so didn't get the chance to take any decent pictures, also it has been raining for almost the whole of the last month too but today the sun came out so I thought I better take some pictures quick.
Prepare to drool.........
She sent me some gorgeous handcream and at first I didn't know what the Extra Brilho bottle were, I thought maybe nail whitening products but Tami informed me that they are a great Brazilian topcoat! I haven't tried it yet because everything has been packed away safely till this week but I can't wait, maybe this could be my perfect topcoat......... I'm still searching.

She even sent me a beautiful little bag and some lovely hairclips:
And it was even all sent in a cute little box. What an awesome swap!
I did promise that sometimes this blog would feature my furbaby, Miagi. Well, as we've just moved he has to stay indoors for a little while. As it was such a beautiful day I did let him out and as I was taking these photographs he tried to escape over the fence. He let me drag him back but it was so funny! Here he is looking very angelic and enjoying the weather!
Thank you Tami for this AMAZING swap. I love them all. xx
I know Lynnderella polishes cause a bit of emotional response in our crazy polish loving world but I have been so lucky to get quite a few of these polishes so for that I really am grateful. I love my Lynns and I want to wear them and share them on here and isn't that what polish loving is all about??
Lynn's blog is closed now but when swatches were posted she had described Lavandear as a blend of lavender multi-sized hexagons and squares with a touch of holographic pink in a sheer pink-violet base with a hint of iridescent blue shimmer. In other words it really is pretty!
I teamed this gorgeous polish with a base layer coat of OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender which is quite a close match in colour to this polish. This is 2 coats of Lavandear, one coat of Gelous and one coat of Seche Vite.
Enjoy!

In the sun:
Hello Holo!
Even the bottles are pretty!
If you want to get your hands on some Lynns your best bet is to to sign up for updates at Llarowe as there is a wishlist system in place which should start again mid-end of June.
So I owe the untried month a few posts but as it has now past I'll just keep this as my last official untried post, although I seem to have so many polishes that most of my posts are untrieds! Anyway, today I have some awesome flakies to show you.
I was lucky enough to be able to purchase some beautiful flakie polishes from a blogger called Karine. Many of you probably know her as she's very active on many of the facebook polish groups and she's an absolute sweetie!
These polishes were originally made for her birthday club but we are lucky that she has offered them for wider sale.
I picked up 4 of them and love them so much that I've ordered another 2 which are on their way to me now.
These are the ones I have so far:
Firstly I wore Oui, Je Le Veux. This is a kind of pink, coral, peach jelly with lots of flakies and a little subtle glitter. It would look great with a tan, unfortunately I don't have one but it was still extremely pretty! I wore 3 coats and there was a tiny bit of VNL which I didn't mind at all as it was so pretty, but if you did you could easily just layer it.
Here you go (in the shade):
In the sunshine:
Next is Noir Desir. This is a black jelly with flakies and glitter. It's really sparkly and gorgeous! I used one coat of black opaque polish (GOSH Nero) and two coats of Noir Desir:
I can't wait to get my next order in my hands (or should I say on my hands, lol), I've got Ooh La La and Romance a Paris on their way.
If you would like to look at other swatches or the rest of the collection look here or to place an order look here
Karine also has a great blog so check it out here
It's been a beautiful weekend here for a change but it's Sunday night and I'm getting that feeling so thought I'd cheer myself up and do some work on my blog. I still have a few days of untried month left so here goes......
Firstly I must just tell you how much I love these. They are simply gorgeous and this is coming from someone who loves OPI but initially didn't think I needed these. I was WRONG!
I was lucky enough to get the whole 2012 OPI Ballet collection in an awesome swap with my nail polish buddy Hailee, as well as some other beautiful polishes and even some toys for Miagi!
The Ballet collection is a soft shades jelly collection. They are sheer, squishy and shiny. There is also a beautiful subtle glitter topcoat called Pirouette My Whistle. In my opinion if you ever wear nudes you NEED this collection.
Here you go:
3 coats of My Pointe Exactly and 1 coat of Pirouette My Whistle topped with 1 coat of NYC topcoat.
It's such a classy polish and it looks great on it's own too. This is 3 coats with no topcoat:
Here's what your bottles should look like:
I'm going to get backups!
Check out the untrieds my birthday girls have
been using:
